“Now What For The Democrats?”
Now that Barack Obama has convincingly won the New Hampshire primary, capturing the lion’s share of the votes from every demographic group, it is time for the Democratic Party to come together and support Senator Obama as their candidate for President. That’s right Hillary, John and Bill, step aside for the good of the party and enthusiastically tell your supporters to unite behind Obama. A united democratic party this early in the year will be able to spend their time and money on showing American voters the differences between Senator Obama and any potential republican opponent, instead of trying to attack each other and giving the Republican’s fodder to use against them in the national campaign.
This idea would have been unthinkable had Hillary Clinton or John Edwards won both in Iowa and New Hampshire, but the phenomenon that is Obama is the best chance for the Democrats to take back the White House and insure strong holds on both the House and Senate. An Obama presidency would bring together all Americans of every race, religion and social strata. He, like JFK, has asked for our help in changing the way America is governed, and we have overwhelmingly accepted his challenge. America is ready to embrace Obama’s politics and the Democratic Party can almost guarantee victory in November if they cease the in-fighting and political attacks that have destroyed their chances in the past.
The voters are tired of not being heard by the Bush White House and the Congress. They desperately want change, positive change, the kind of change Senator Obama speaks of. If Hillary Clinton’s emotional display the other day was real, and I believe it was, and she does not want to see the country “go backwards”, she should step up and endorse Obama and encourage the other Democratic candidates to do the same.

Are the voters yet tired of you posing as a life-long Republican in your letters to the edotors of the New York Times?
